These hungry little goblins are ready for a Halloween snack! Turn the printable into clothespin puppets, then squeeze their mouths open to pretend to munch on candy and worms.
What you’ll need:
Free goblin printable
Paper or cardstock
Laminator + lamination sheets (optional)
Clothespins
Scissors
Hot glue, super glue or double-sided tape
Pipe cleaners
Googly eyes
Make your goblins:
Print your goblins. Laminating after printing makes sturdier puppets.
Cut out each goblin’s top and bottom mouth pieces.
With the clothespin closed, line up the pieces on one side of the opening end.
Attach the top piece to the upper jaw and the bottom piece to the lower jaw. Keep glue away from the gap so the mouth can open.
Let the glue dry, then squeeze the handles to open your goblin’s mouth!
Make your curly worms:
Bend one end of a pipe cleaner into a small loop for the head.
Wrap the tip around the pipe cleaner to secure the loop and hold the head shape.
Wrap the remaining length around your finger to create a curly body.
Slide it off your finger and gently adjust the curls.
Glue googly eyes onto the head and let them dry completely.
Time to feed the goblins!
Scatter your worms on the table or in a sensory bin. Squeeze each goblin’s mouth open, grab a worm, and release to take a bite! Count how many worms each goblin eats or give your hungry goblins silly voices.
Adult help is needed for cutting and assembly. Tuck in any sharp pipe cleaner ends and supervise play. Googly eyes and other small pieces are a choking hazard; keep them away from children who put objects in their mouths.
